Dear Family of St. Teresa,

After a lengthy and intense study of the Mass schedules of St. William and St. Teresa by the Parish Staffs, Fr. Phil and myself, we presented to both Parish Councils the following proposal which will become effective Saturday, January 6, 2018.

"Understanding" would be the appropriate word to describe all of us. There will be no change to the weekday Mass schedule. It may be necessary as the result of multiple funerals to have a communion service in place of a Mass but that should be rare. Weekday Masses will therefore remain the same.

Our Pastoral Region Sunday celebrations will be as follows: St. Teresa will continue the Saturday 4:00PM and Sunday 7:00AM and 9:30AM Masses, yet will no longer hold an 11:30AM Mass on Sunday. Saturday afternoon confessions will move to Saturday morning following the 8:30AM Mass.

St. William Saturday afternoon Mass will move up from 3:30PM to 3:00PM with confession starting at 2:30PM. The Sunday morning 11AM Mass will continue, but St. William will no longer hold the 9:00AM Mass.

There are many reasons for these changes. The main one being that we are convinced that this change will give longevity to both parishes. We hope and pray that the loyalty of parishioners from the 11 :30AM Mass and the 9:00AM Mass will give understanding, not necessarily agreement, with this direction for our parishes and that you will attend one of the other offered Masses or; attend St. William at 11 :00 (in place of 11 :30AM) or St. Teresa at 9:30 (in place of St. William at 9:00AM). You may still contribute your parish envelope during any collection and it will go to the proper parish. We want to make it very clear that we see this as giving long life to both parishes. The new schedule will be-come effective Saturday, January 6, 2018.
